Comments: Reality is mixed with surreal events as the Cuban Missile Crisis is broadcast over the television set within this story. Many things happen in this action packed story, in one scene Captain Gravity is in the most dire of situations and plays dead, so he can survive. Chase Dubois is being held captive by the Nazis and Captain Gravity is doing everything in his upmost powers to save her. Captain Gravity has many cards up his sleeve and uses the enemy's confidence against them. The artwork is incredible, many great details and each panel is a pleasure to look at. The scene shifts will take the reader to Libya to Cairo. Captain Gravity encounters a scientist named Jack Parsons in Cairo who knows the secret of the Vril. You will learn that the Vril is an infinite energy source and with all this going on, the Nazis are looking for Atlantis, because the Vril had a lot to do with the success of the Roman Empire and Atlantis. As the intiguing moments continue in the story, the appearance of Adolf Hitler is thrown at us. Adolf confronts Chase Dubois and tells her that he is a fan of her pulp series and she makes a good damsel in distress. Of course Chase ticks off the dictator and he then laters wants her killed. The time jump from 1962 to 1940 makes a fascinating read, along with all of the exotic locales! Joshua Dysart proves himself to be a master storyteller with Captain Gravity and the Power of the Vril, this is truly his magnus opus!
